We are licensed Child Care Centres
Peekaboo is fully licensed by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services and our standards meet or exceed the provinces requirements. The centre is routinely inspected by the Health Department, Fire Department, and licensing officers from the Ministry of Child and Youth Services.
Our Locations
Various locations have been professionally designed to accommodate busy infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners. The toys, games, activities, programs and outdoor playground are all tailored to meet the developmental and social needs of your child. Our staff have been carefully chosen. They are highly qualified, extremely caring and have been extensively trained to meet our high standards for care.
Video Over the Internet (VOI)
Peekaboo Child Care was the first day care centre in Canada to offer Video Over the Internet (VOI) Technology . VOI is an incredible concept that allows you to view your child in their classroom from anywhere you have access to the Internet. We are confident that you will be as excited as we are with this new level of child care. We would like you and your family to come and see the facility for yourself. We also encourage you to take advantage of the viewing windows in most classrooms. In addition to the Video Over the Internet capability of these centres, the viewing windows allow parents an excellent opportunity to view their child undisturbed by their parents presence. Please take a few moments every day to watch your child in action at our facility.
The Peekaboo Philosophy

We realize that parents are the most important adults in a child's life so we do everything possible to involve you in our program. Through Canada's first Video Over the Internet (VOI), you will have the comfort and enjoyment that comes with being able to see your child at any point during the day by simply logging onto the Internet. VOI also allows traveling parents or distant relatives the opportunity to see your child at play every day. Through the VOI we hope that parents will share in their child's day like never before. In addition to your child's stories of their day you can actually become part of their experience through sharing their day visually.
If you have any questions with regard to you child's care, the running of your child's classroom or any other aspect of the centre, please do not hesitate to speak to the centre's supervisor. We look forward to caring for your child. Please stop by any time, an appointment is never needed.

Staff
All of our staff meet or exceed the provinces requirement for educational achievement. Every classroom is headed by a teacher with a degree in either early childhood development or education. Additional staff have either formal training in early childhood education or equivalent training and experience. Staffing levels are maintained according to the requirements of the Day Nurseries Act.
Staff members are thoroughly screened, references are checked, and they must undergo a health and physical examination. Only the most qualified, thoughtful and caring staff work at Peekaboo. Following our careful selection process each staff member receives training and centre orientation before beginning work in the classroom. Their skills and competency are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Your feedback and comments to the supervisor or director with regards to the staff are encouraged. Occasionally student volunteers will work in the centre, under the direct supervision of qualified staff. Their presence is a great asset to the centre as well as valuable experience in their education.
